Entries now accepted for Building Communities Awards

We are excited to announce that entries are now being accepted for the 5th annual Building Communities Awards

The Building Communities Awards are hosted by EEM Ltd to recognise the professionalism, excellence and innovation sitting at the heart of the region’s construction and housing community.

The BC Awards 2019 is moving to a new venue – the Athena in Leicester – and is set to be the biggest and best EEM event to date.
The BC Awards 2019 sees the introduction of several new categories.

The awards are free to enter and are open to the entire public sector housing and construction industry, not just the EEM membership and supply chain.


Tickets are priced at £65+VAT each and tables seat up to 10 guests. Please email sophia@eem.org.uk to reserve your seats. The ticket price includes a drinks reception, the awards ceremony, charity auction and raffle and evening entertainment followed by a cashless casino.

We’re proud that all running surplus from the Building Communities Awards along with the fundraising efforts from the auctions and raffles are presented to charity at the end of the evening.

After putting it out to vote to the EEM membership, two charities have been selected to support at the #BCAwards19

Rhubarb Farm: An horticultural-based environmental social enterprise, based in Langwith, on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, providing a service to the unemployed, recovering drug and alcohol misusers, ex-offenders, young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), excluded school students, people with learning disabilities, people with mental and physical ill health, ex service personnel, and people with dementia. Rhubarb Farm use the therapeutic organic horticulture model for developing skills, confidence and employability, and for improving health and well-being.

Prostate Cancer UK: Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, Protate Cancer UK hope to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
